Now That’s Good News…

In The Beginning

In the beginning, God created all things and everything was good. We were in perfect fellowship with God in a perfect Garden. There was no death, there was no SIN… (which is any failure to conform to the moral law of God in act, attitude, or nature).

Genesis 1:31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good… (ESV)

We Messed Up

Ever since Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden, we have all inherited this sin nature, and have fallen short of perfectly meeting God’s moral law. We all have rebelled and contribute to the evil in this world. The very real consequence is separation from a perfect and holy God forever. The problem is in each of us… we need help.

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (ESV)

But God Took Our Punishment

Because the problem is in each of us, we need something outside of ourselves to save us. God, in His great love and for His glory, sent His perfect son Jesus Christ to take on human flesh and give Himself up for us as the perfect sacrifice. He took upon Himself the punishment of sin for all who believe. This is a free gift from God for anyone who would humble themself, turn FROM their sins, and turn TO Christ as their Lord, Savior, and King.

Ephesians 2:8–9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (ESV)

Now we Can Find Life in Christ

It is because of the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ and His resurrection that we find the hope of eternal life in His Name. When we put our trust in Christ, God no longer sees our sins, but Christ’s righteousness. so that we can stand before a perfect and Holy God and be with Him for all eternity.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (ESV)

Repent… Believe… Live

Isaiah 45:22 – Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.
